Community Leader Honoured for Dedication to Local Charities

Vice Chairwoman Audrey M. Edmonson recognized Mr. Hector Vargas, Senior Vice President of the Property Management Division at the Continental Group, on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 during the County Commission meeting for his volunteer work.

Mr. Vargas leads Continental Group's annual toy drive on behalf of Voice for Children, organized an "Extreme Home Makeover" for a group home under the Center for Family and Child Enrichment, and has raised funds for the Humane Society, Breast Cancer Awareness, Cystic Fibrosis research and Voices for Children, among many community activities.

“Mr. Vargas has demonstrated his selfless nature in assisting organizations that support the neediest members of our community,” said Vice Chairwoman Edmonson. “We are grateful for his devotion to improving the quality of life for County residents.”
