FACELIFT TRANSFORMS SPANISH RIVER HS STADIUM;
RENAMED FIELD TO HONOR PRIME MANAGEMENT'S CONTRIBUTIONS

Boca Raton - Athletes and fans of Spanish River High School teams have something more to cheer about -- a dramatic transformation of the school's stadium and its surroundings after a year-long facelift courtesy of Prime Management.

"After 20 years of neglect, people couldn't enjoy going to games on Friday nights, even to see their own kids play, because the place was in such poor condition, said Lorraine Bedick, president of the Spanish River Parent Teacher Student Association. "Thanks to Prime, we have a home field that we can point to with pride." Finishing touches are now being added to the project. The clean-up and fix-up campaign by Prime work crews drew record attendance at last season's football games as parents and fans flocked to the improved facilities, Bedick noted. The work represents a donation of $35,000 and 1,200 man hours. A new press box funded by the Palm Beach County School District is now under construction. When completed it will be the centerpiece for the renaming of the stadium as Prime Management Field in recognition of the company's contributions. Bedick said Prime Management President Charles "Chip" Sollins made the generous contribution of services and materials to supplement tightening school budgets for such needs. Prime crews have been working at the stadium for about a year, moving from project to project to improve the deteriorated facilities and field, which is used for football, soccer and lacrosse, for both men and women. Prime crews gutted, painted and refurbished the concession stand, a major source of income for the teams that are playing home games. They resurfaced sidewalks and landscaped the entire sandy area with sod and created flowerbeds. Crews then turned their attention to the field, patching areas with new sod. Finally, the parking lot and the area surrounding the tennis courts were pressure washed to clean years of neglect.

"Kids deserve the best athletic facilities and as much support as we can give them," said Sollins, whose daughter plays lacrosse at Spanish River. "They give up their free time to practice, compete and learn the value of teamwork and sportsmanship for their adult years. We're pleased we could help out." Sollins said that after the repairs, cleanup and landscaping, maintaining the facility has been easier. Prime landscaping crews regularly return to plant seasonal flowers in the beds, spray for bugs and ants and mulch. Prime Management is Florida's leading property management company. It manages 350 HOA and condominium associations, comprising 60,000 units in Palm Beach and Broward Counties, and is one of the area's largest employers with more than 900 employees.
